This website, "Roses at Araluen Botanic Park", shows some of the delights of the rose gardens at Araluen.
There are several gardens dedicated to roses throughout the park.
The front car park, just inside the main entrance has several bushes of Crepuscule and Mutabilis as well as other varieties.
The Concourse area, across the pool below the entrance car park, is where roses were originally grown and contains a number of important early Hybrid Tea roses.
The Contour Walk, below the Chalet Healy, has Species, David Austin and Moss Roses.
The Top Rose Garden, further up the hill, has a number of distinct beds each of which tends to concentrate on specific rose types: eg Tea and Chinas, Alister Clarks, Shrub and Gallicas etc.
Many of the photographs on these pages indicate when they were taken to give some idea when particular roses may be seen in flower.
When visiting the park ask at the front gate for a list of the roses and the map of the rose beds.
